Hook, Line, and Sinker

A few pictures of Bill, the fisherman. What a catch!

Snorkeling in the Reef

Here is Bill snorkeling for the first time in Cozumel, Mexico. He kept getting water in his nose, so he had to plug his nose to enjoy the view under the water.

Snorkeling Seaquest

Snorkeling in the reef was an exciting experience. I loved all the colorful fish that were swimming in front of me. When the photographer's camera flashed, the beautiful colors were gone. It was beautiful viewing everything in the reef in crystal clear water. In the bottom picture is our guide Ricardo, who served sodas and margaritas on our glass bottom boat.

Days of Wonder

A few sights by our home in the Springtime.

Incredible Journey

Our 2006 Caribbean cruise. Stopping for a picture after we arrived in Costa Maya, Mexico.

The Goat Parade

Just before we got to Goose Island State Park, we noticed a parade of various colored goats all walking in single file. The line of goats seemed endless. What a beautiful sight; I'm sure glad we had a camera to capture this priceless moment.

Abby II

Isn't she amazing! I just hope she is now in her forever home giving someone a lot of love and making a difference in their lives, and hope her new family will give her all that she deserves.

Abby

What a beautiful girl! We rescued her in December 2004, and made sure she got nursed back to health after being hit by a car. I only wished we could have kept her, 'cause she really stole my heart in a major way.

June 25, 2009

Well, I finally got my profile updated tonight. I guess I can now unveil my new blog to friends and family, since I had not done so previously. I hope to add some new scrapbook pages in the next several days. Check out my pages when you get a chance, and I'd love to hear your comments. Thanks so much for looking.

A Pirate's Life in Roatan, Honduras

What an awesome adventure in Roatan. It was fun having pirate's greet us when we arrived on the island. Getting on a motorcycle to cruise the island was quite an adventure also, but we later got a guide to show us some out-of-the-way lovely places. We played on the West End beach for awhile, and later went to visit a secluded area, which had a pavilion over the water that the locals dive from.

Costa Maya, Mexico

Taking a brief moment for a picture at the beach before leaving Costa Maya. We had a wonderful time touring the Mayan Ruins, and checking out all the colorful shops. The turquoise, crystal clear water was unbelievably beautiful.

Dandy, Our Beautiful Friend

Our beautiful friend, Dandy. She always tries to get our attention when we are outside by kicking the fence. She is a very loving girl, who has certainly stolen our hearts.

Mr. Lawson

Mr. Lawson is a Port Aransas local who hangs out at the jetties, and begs for the fishermen's shrimp and small bait fish. He is quite the popular guy in Port A. What a beauty!

Kaylee: All Grown Up

A beautiful photo of Kaylee all grown up. Where have all the years gone? It seems like just a few years ago that she was just born.

Jodi and Bryan

Great picture of Jodi and Bryan in Colorado at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I know she could never pass up an opportunity to have a picture taken with a giraffe. Let's see Jodi, you now have how many giraffes on display in your home?.....about 300?

Giraffe Kisses

This was Jodi's moment of a lifetime at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado. Her passion is giraffes, and ever since she saw the giraffe webcam online, her desire was to visit this wonderful zoo. That dream was fulfilled in 2008, and she got to share some special moments with so many beautiful giraffes.

Princess Sydney

This photo of Sydney is the epitome of every little girl's dreams. She is so pretty in yellow, which is also her favorite color.

Kaylee Is:

My granddaughter Kaylee. She was so funny when she was little, and always making everyone around her laugh. She is so adorable in this photo.

The Princess

One of Bill's pride and joy photos. Little Miss Sydney didn't want to have suntan lotion applied at Fiesta Texas, so she decided to pout by a big flower pot.

Sydney

My lovely granddaughter, Sydney. I can't believe she's not such a little girl anymore. What a lovely young lady she is now.

Beautiful Jodi

This is my beautiful daughter, Jodi. Chance made her my daughter, and love made her my friend. We used to love to shop until we dropped until the economy went south.

The Sights and Sounds of Bayside, TX

We decided to take a little road trip on Memorial Day weekend, and decided to go to Bayside. There is not much of anything there, but the bay next to the road is very lovely, and there were many types of coastal birds. These are just a few of the photos from our day.

The Elusive Gopher

Bill just happened to notice that this little guy was popping his head in and out of the hole of his tunnel. Even though I have always seen gopher mounds in both of our yards, I have never seen a gopher do this repeatedly before. Once again, Bill's timing was just right. We were walking a circle around the Big Tree in Lamar when Bill noticed him, and captured a photo of The Elusive Gopher.

Awe Inspiring

We took a road trip to Bayside (Yeah, I know.... there's nothing there but a few houses, but there is a lot of the bay and plenty of birds near the road), and on the way back, I asked Bill to turn around, because I had seen a deer. Never thinking she would still be there, I was pleasantly surprised to see her staring at us. Bill took a picture of her at the perfect moment.

The Redbird's Song

Bill did a great job with this photo! We sure do have Redbird's a' plenty this Spring. We are seeing them every day, and enjoy hearing them sing.

Visitor in our Yard

This is the little visitor that came up close to our backyard patio to say hello on the Memorial Day weekend. Good thing Reno didn't see him.

Port Aransas Birds

It's always fun to spend time in Port Aransas taking pictures, especially because there are so many birds. Mr. Lawson is a local resident, who loves to spend time on the jetties and get treats from the fishermen.

Bill and Dandy

This photo really touches my heart -- an affectionate kiss for a beautiful friend. Bill and I just love to go to the fence and visit Dandy and her sister, Bear. They love the attention, and the carrots, apples, and Popeye's Biscuits.

Nature's Wonder

Bill took this fabulous photo of a longhorn about 1 mile from our house. Aransas Pass, Texas

Penny

Lovely photo of my oldest daughter, Penny. What a smile!

Our Family

A Memorial Day weekend moment in the evening with Reno and Brady by the woodpile in our yard.
