My Guys

This lovely photo of my guys was my anniversary present last year, 8/3/09. Bill did a wonderful job of taking the picture, even though Brady did not cooperate too well. Page kit used is Wild Blackberries by Carole Harden.

The Look - My New Haircut

I was really scared when I asked my hairdresser to chop a lot more hair than my usual shoulder length. When all was said and done, I think I was pleased with the outcome. This was my new look for the Alaskan cruise that we would be taking on 9/13/09. Page kit used is A Young Mans Fancy by Erica Belton.

The Aggie Bluebonnet

After we dropped the dogs off at the groomer's early in the morning, Bill and I decided to check out the wildflowers close to home before they were gone (about 2 more weeks). We were simply amazed to see the Texas Aggie (red to maroon in color) Bluebonnet in the yard of a very nice man, who told us all about the Texas Aggie Bluebonnet. Only a Texas Aggie would dream of changing the color of the state flower, and only an Aggie could pull it off.
Used Fields of Dreams Overlay Set 1 by Rene Bross to create layout, which can be found at Digital Scrapbook Place.

Coastal Bend Ibis

What beautiful scenery in the Wetlands of Aransas Pass, Texas. After researching the Ibis, I discovered these are very young birds because of the colors. I believe they may be white when full grown.

Regal Redbird

We have seen such an abundance of Redbirds/Cardinals in our yard this year. I never tire of watching them, and hearing them sing. I loved the way this beautiful bird had his head turned in the first photo.

Peaceful Morning Stillness in The Harbor

Rosy and peaceful morning in Conn Brown Harbor in Aransas Pass, Texas. The stillness makes me wish for time to stand still for many hours.
